Teaching Philosophy
I enjoy teaching and creating art. I get excited explaining visual concepts. When I see a student try something and see their “buzz” , their path becomes mine as I encourage them through their project. While teaching , I encourage independent thinking . I accomplish this by providing choices, asking questions and using a flexible and creative approach to resources .
While a project seen through to completion is important, I feel the process, exploration and enjoyment is really valuable too .A studio full of work in progress is a very exciting place to be!
In art, ideas from all subjects can interact. What a great spring board for synthesis and insight!
